Washington Adventist University to Host College Fair and Workshop November 3

Takoma Park, Md. (October 31, 2016) Washington Adventist University and 12 other Adventist colleges and universities will be featured at a College Fair and Workshop on Thursday, November 3 in Takoma Park, Maryland. The event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Washington Adventist University Gymnasium (Bldg. 5 on the campus map), 7600 Flower Avenue.

High school and transfer students can explore nearly 500 academic programs and career options at the event, and learn about the advantages of a faith-based Christian education. They will have the opportunity to meet with admissions counselors, find out about scholarships and financial aid, and apply for free to the schools they are interested in attending.

From 6:30 to 8 p.m., admissions representatives from the following schools will be on hand to discuss the academic offerings and student life at their institutions:

    • Adventist University of Health Sciences (Florida)
    • Andrews University (Michigan)
    • Burman University (Lacombe, AB, Canada)
    • Kettering College (Ohio)
    • La Sierra University (California)
    • Loma Linda University (California)
    • Oakwood University (Alabama)
    • Pacific Union College (California)
    • Southern Adventist University (Tennessee)
    • Southwestern Adventist University (Texas)
    • Union College (Nebraska)
    • Walla Walla University (Washington)
    • Washington Adventist University (Maryland)

From 7 to 8 p.m., workshops will be offered every 15 minutes, and students can learn how to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form and get scholarships.
