Dr. Gladstone P. Gurubatham (fondly known as “Dr. G.”) was Washington Adventist University’s longest-serving faculty member. He served for 51 years, from 1964 until his death in 2015. This scholarship endowment fund was created by the Gurubatham family to honor his memory and to keep alive his vision and continuous quest for knowledge.
As a professor, Dr. Gurubatham taught a variety of courses including psychology, history, sociology, anthropology, geography, counseling and statistics. He also founded the adult evening program – which has grown to become the School of Graduate and Professional Studies – and the External Degree and Elderhostel programs.
The Dr. Gladstone P. Gurubatham Endowment Fund provides scholarships to students attending Washington Adventist University who are committed to obtaining an education and achieving their career objectives, and it allows donors to give one-time or ongoing, long-term gifts that will be used for scholarship purposes only.
Tax-deductible contributions may be made via check, payable to Washington Adventist University with a notation on the memo line for The Dr. Gladstone P. Gurubatham Endowment Fund; a pledged gift over a period of years; and as a transfer of funds from an IRA, annuity or life insurance proceeds.
