Music Therapy – WAU’s music therapy programs are approved by the American Music Therapy Association. They are the only music therapy programs in Maryland and the SDA Educational system in North America. Our Music department is World-Class through our artist-teachers, touring organizations, and facilities. WAU is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
For Fall 2021: New dedicated facilities and brand new instruments for the Music Therapy program; a new piano and computer lab in the Peters Music Center. A new music history sequence, required for all music majors, will present a broader, global study of music. Group piano and group guitar classes are now offered.
Music study at WAU will guarantee small class sizes and caring faculty in the rich cultural area of our nation’s capital.
Music Therapy Board Certification for music therapy graduates. Graduate school placement in the finest conservatories and schools of music. Graduates become distinguished performers, teachers, church musicians, and successes in all walks of life.
