Washington Adventist University Announces 2025 Summer Youth Camps and Symposium

TAKOMA PARK, Md.—Washington Adventist University is proud to welcome youth from across the region to its campus for a series of exciting and enriching camps this summer. From sports and music to math, global affairs, and leadership training, WAU is offering a dynamic slate of programs designed to educate, inspire, and empower students of all ages.

Nike Soccer Camp
June 23–27, July 21–25, and August 4–8
Offered on three separate weeks, this camp welcomes boys and girls ages 7–16. Sessions run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. Cost is $395.

Financial Literacy Sports Camp
June 23–27
A first-of-its-kind initiative tailored for high school student-athletes, this $200 camp merges elite sports training with life skills including financial literacy, branding, and media training.

Model United Nations Camp
July 14–18
Open to students in grades 7–9, this half-day camp (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) includes sessions on global issues, UN simulations, and an embassy visit. Tuition is $300.

Math Camp
July 21–25
Ideal for rising 9th to 11th graders with Algebra I experience, this camp runs 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. daily. Cost is $400.

ASME @ WAU Music Festival
July 13–18
Hosted by the American Society of Musical Excellence and WAU, this intensive festival welcomes student musicians in piano, strings, voice, woodwinds, percussion, and chamber music.
Location: Leroy and Lois Peters Music Center
Cost: $1,420 (commuter) or $1,770 (with lodging/meals)

2025 WAU Symposium on Global Affairs
June 20, 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
Business leaders and embassy representatives are invited to attend this half-day symposium on economic opportunities in the Maryland Capital Region.
