WAU Alum Facilitates “Paint and Heal” Class

Recently former WAU Chaplain and alum Pastor Regina Johnson facilitated a class she developed called “Paint and Heal.” The class was created for women where the focus is character development, creative exploration, emotional freedom, self-love, and self-awareness. The theme, “It’s Me for Me” centered around reminding the ladies that they are enough in whatever season of life they are in; and that this season is just a piece of the puzzle.

“I promise, this is more than just another paint class, more than just having fun, more than a girl’s night in. This is an experience that is like no other. What happened during this class had nothing to do with Regina or myself and everything to do with how God moved. This night just confirmed that where I am is not about me. It’s about the lives that are in my care and the safety that they need beyond the physical.” said Ashlee Chambers, Dean, Halcyon Hall.

“The Paint and Heal class was amazing! It felt great being back home at my alma mater to facilitate a time of healing with the students. The class encourages a time of slowing down, connecting with self, and connecting with God! It was my pleasure to not only create a safe space for the ladies, but to also remind them that they are valuable and were created by God for a unique purpose.” said Pastor Regina Johnson.
