Biography:
Khadene Taffe was born in Jamaica and raised in the Stone Mountain, Georgia. Before joining the esteem faculty at Washington Adventist University (WAU), Khadene taught at higher education institutions at Macon State College in Macon, Georgia, at Israeli College in Ramat Gan, Israel, and University of the West Indies in St. Andrew, Jamaica. She has taught in the undergraduate and graduate nursing program at WAU. She is also passionate about being a missionary. Her passion highly compliments the WAU “gateway to service” vision; therefore, she engages the students in service learning by coordinating and facilitating missionary trip to Haiti and also, local service to the suburbs of Washington D.C.
Research and Professional Activities:
Khadene Taffe has been approved to publish her co-author research about in the Lifestyles of Jamaican Men with Hypertension in the Transcultural Nursing Journal. She has also conducted research internationally in Belize while examining the impact of effective teaching-learning mentoring environment. She is an active member of professional nursing organizations and WAU committees.
