Biography:
Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. Essex is the Director of Weis Library. Before joining the faculty of Washington Adventist University, he served as Legislative Information Specialist and then Information Manager for the Washington Office of the American Library Association. Mr. Essex also formerly held the position of Circulation Librarian for Columbia Union College, and has nearly twenty years of experience working in academic and special libraries in the metropolitan area.
Research and Professional Activities:
Mr. Essex’s recent research interests have focused on legislative affairs and public policy affecting American libraries and developing information services to meet the demands of government relations professionals such as lobbyists and analysts.
