At Washington Adventist University’s Department of Religion, we carry forward the rich heritage of our esteemed institution by equipping students for Christian mission and ministry. As the Seventh-day Adventist Church navigates the complexities of the 21st Century, our department stands as a vibrant Adventist hub for learning and preparation. Here, individuals immerse themselves in a nurturing community that renews their connection with the timeless teachings of both the Old and New Testaments.
In response to Christ’s call for church unity and the mandate to spread the Gospel across the globe, our department warmly welcomes individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, nations, and races. Our celebration of these differences serves as a catalyst for enhanced learning and greater understanding. As we endeavor to share the Gospel message with the world, we leverage the strength of our diverse perspectives. This unity within diversity echoes the core principles of the early Seventh-day Adventists. We seamlessly merge faith and learning with effective ministry and mission, extending our impact from local neighborhoods to the broader eastern seaboard and beyond.
